The fillet weld will be shaped and inspected as a flat, concave, or convex cross section. This will be a requirement directed by the welding symbol on the engineering drawings.
In an engineering or manufacturing facility it is always useful to reference information or charts in a readily accessible format. Opening a phone or moving to a conference room simply to look at and discus a chart that should be displayed is a waste of time and can be fixed by simply displaying a large poster wall chart for all employees on a shop/factory floor or in an office.
Modeled welds can be added to a part and assembly file in Creo Parametric, but for communication purposes, adding weld symbols and requirements on an engineering drawing is more important. PTC makes it easy to add weld symbols by providing a suite of pre-generated symbols and an options dialog box to customize the symbol as needed per ANSI or ISO standards.
